I hate "Love Shack" too, and The B-52's generally. Though I did witness Kate Pierson deliver a fantastic performance of "Me and Bobby McGee" as the final act at a Janis Joplin Tribute Show at the Rumsey Playfield in Central Park in the 90s or early 2000's, so I suppose the talent was there.
Kate lived in my building London Terrace ~ 1995. She walked a potbelly pig. Deborah Harry lived upstairs. Annie Liebowitz lived on my hall, while her penthouse was being renovated. That's another story.
